Because I got high, because I got high, because I got high…

Anis emailed a few of us one day, to have a discussion on what kind of business we could do to earn second income. At first she was thinking to do smoothie business; but we figured that the startup expenditure is gonna be a lot. Then she thought of baking, and we think that could work; and the idea developed from there.
After that first discussion, we followed up with other discussions; and we came up with the brand name together and the concept of it. I felt pretty much obligated to do the branding; and of course, very very very much excited when I was given the chance to do so.
At first Anis came up with the name ‘Angel Delites’. Can’t remember how THAT morphed to ‘Sugar High!’. If I were to explain as if you haven’t got it; the concept of the logo is to match the brand name ‘Sugar HIGH’, as in like ‘Sweet Valley HIGH’ y’all? Get me?

A couple of times I got feedback about the name as it could be interpreted as something unhealthy. Well, to me, kids get sugar high over an innocent piece of candy, I could get high over colours as some people could get high over drinking a glass of iced lemon tea? It’s just a matter of conveying that there are simple stuffs around us that could just make us high on life.. and the cupcakes and truffles Anis make certainly do that for me.
They certainly live up to the motto : ‘Excellence in Sweetness.’
..and that person who gets high on iced lemon tea? Yeah, that would be yours truly

How many notes are there? 19!
A friend of mine just bought over a cafe in Kota Damansara, and she needs rebranding works as she’d like to well; REBRAND the cafe lah
It’s a cool book cafe, really cozy; and if only it’s closer to Ampang, it would have been our frequent lepak spot. Unfortunately, it’s in KD; unless I’ve got something purposeful to do there; OR if Collin Farrell is in that area; I would think 4 to 5 times before even thinking to get the car keys to drive there. They make superb apple crumble; that literally makes my legs weak and feel crumbly. (Ada ke such sensations? If there isn’t; NOW there is)
I had fun doing this, as the guideline and concept Tipah wants to relate the cafe to are music, arts and books. I love music, yup. Do I love food? No question. Do I love art? Uh, duhhhhh.. Do I love books? Well, can do lah.
So the subjects are close to my heart; and I truly enjoyed manipulating the concepts around, so TADAAAA!
